Guerrilla tactics
Words of wisdom I have overheard this week...
“What's with the monkey and milk chocolate?”
“Have you seen the new Cadbury ad, it's brilliant!”
“Have you seen the Phil Collins gorilla viral?”
All the quotes are interesting for two reasons:
- No-one can explain the exact logic behind the advert, other than it's amusing and makes you smile.
- Some are calling it a viral and others an ad.
Even though it bears all the trademarks of an ad — as it has a call to action and was shown in a commercial spot on TV — it also has viral elements, as what happens is unexpected and more than a million people have viewed it via YouTube.
